Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Jul 03
Good dark red. Aromas of redcurrant, tobacco leaf, milk chocolate, pepper and herbs. Sweet, silky and bright, with excellent flavor intensity and claret-like texture. A very, bright Northern style of Rioja though not particularly high in acidity. Chocolatey French oak adds to the wine's sex appeal. But the regular Roda I was at least as suave a year ago.
